    • In class, we talked about the different things that adverbs can describe.  They can describe verbs, adjectives, and even other adverbs.

Reader's Journal
  • NONE.... but bring your journal to class!  We'll need it!

Geography

  • We've learned a lot about different European countries.  This week, choose ONE country that interests you.  Pick a topic about the country that you'd like to write about.  For example, you could write about a country's foods, its architecture, its famous landmarks, its history, etc.
  • Come up with a TOPIC SENTENCE that your entire paragraph will be about.  (Remember... we wrote a paragraph together in class about baby goats!  Just think about how we came up with the topic sentence together in class, and come up with your own!)  Write your topic sentence on your hamburger sheet.  (We will be using this sheet in class to edit and rewrite!)
  • Now, come up with three different supporting sentences that back up your topic sentence.
  • Finally, wrap it all up with a conclusion sentence.
  • Put the paper in your folder and bring it to class!

Science

  • I'm excited to see what happens in our carnation experiment!
  • Check out this BrainPOP video on seed plants.
  • Here is another video that helps prepare you for our lesson next week!  Pay attention... you'll hear about these things in class!

If you are reading a book for fun, be sure to pick up a book report notecard in class!
