Grammar
- If you did not finish your grammar crossword puzzle, give it a try at home! (We just learned how crossword puzzles work, so if it is tricky, don't stress!)
- Please study your grammar cards (there are new ones)! Parents, quiz them and see how they do. Also, you can point out words during the day and ask what they are: verb, adjective, noun, etc. Integrate this into your week!
- Work on the Preposition Song!
Poetry - I thought this would be appropriate for February in Georgia.... but goodness it's WARM! 😄
Snowball
I made myself a snowball
As perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
And let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas
And a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away,
But first it wet the bed.
As perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
And let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas
And a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away,
But first it wet the bed.
Science
- Write down three facts about planets that you found interesting. Bring it to class!
Handwriting
- Complete pages 70-73
- Look back through the book and compare your handwriting now to the first few pages!
History-
- Read through the packet of information that is in your folder. Parents, you may need to help them with the material this week! You do NOT have to remember everything in the packet.... we will be talking about it next week, and I want everyone to be familiar with the concepts!
Journal-
- We learned about prepositions in grammar class. For your journal entry, I want you to write a story about the baby goats.... and use a LOT of prepositions!
