No class on April 2nd, and no work that week! Happy Spring Break!
(There WILL be work posted for 3/2/27-3/30 to turn in when we return on 4/9)
Grammar
- Study your grammar cards!
- We learned about paragraphs in class. Paragraphs have a main idea and supporting sentences. Remember, they should go together... not be random. Try this game to practice pointing out the sentences that don't belong!
- Use the HAMBURGER organizer to come up with one simple paragraph about your person. Write your sentences on the hamburger sheet. Be sure you have a topic sentence and three supporting sentence. End it with a conclusion sentence. Use this for your poster project (see below), and bring all of it to class in your red folder.
Poetry -
- Study Mr. Nobody! :-)
Science
- We are going to be learning about constellations next week! Click here and learn about them!
Handwriting
- p. 89-90
- (You have a lot of writing to do this week, and I want to see your awesome handwriting in each assignment!)
History-
- I assigned a figure from the American Revolution to each student. At home, they will be researching and learning about this person. To share what they learned, they will be doing two things:
- Make a poster to share with the class. Include the NAME of the person, at least 1 picture, facts about your person, why they were important, etc.
- Rewrite your "hamburger" paragraph neatly onto paper and include this on your poster!
Journal-
- Write about your spring break!
