Geography

• Optional- Color your map of Western Europe.  As you do, check out the pictures and drawings in and around each country.

• Watch the FIRST PART of this video.  It goes through all of the European countries, but we only need to start with the western ones!

Language Arts

• Study your grammar cards!
• Remember, keep reading and bringing in those book reports!  We're close to our goal!  :-)

Reader's Journal-

• I'd like you to write your thoughts about the books that you have read so far this year.  What did you like most about the stories?  Which character or characters did you like or not like?  What stories do you think taught you the most?  

Science

• Here is the video that Owen wanted to show you... It's a VIRUS RAP!

• Here is a link to a BrainPOP video on Protists.  There are also games and things you can do right on that site!
• Print this worksheet.  REWATCH the BrainPOP video and stop and start it if you need to.  Answer the questions and bring them to class in your folder.
• A couple people forgot their science notebooks in class... they did the activity in class on a separate sheet that should be in their folder so that they can add it to their notebooks at home.

Farm Fusion Journal Options (choose one)

• The first half of the school year is over already!  Write about your favorite memories from this half.
• Using the animals here on the farm, write a Christmasy story! 

Language Arts

• Study your helping verb list!  
• ★Here is an online game to help you find verbs in a sentence.
• ★Here is a game that lets you find action verbs by smacking robot aliens!
• ★Here is a quiz to check your ability to find helping verbs.
• Read chapters 15 through the end of Mystery in the Amazon Rainforest.
  
• Here is a link to the new vocabulary list.  We do activities and review of these words in class, but it really only works if the kids study them at home during the week. 
• Here is the Quizlet page to help you study and practice!  (Or, study with parents any way that works!)
• No Need to add to your field guide this week!  There's not much to add in these chapters!

Geography

• If you haven't presented your South American country/location to the class, then be ready to do so on Monday!  I can't wait to hear you guys!
• Check out some of the amazing animals in South America!

Science

• Here are pictures from the petri dishes!  Finish adding the information to your science notebooks.  Click to see a larger version of each.

• Next, write your conclusion on the sheet that is in your folder.  Cut it out and paste it into your notebooks.

DIVING DEEPER

• Do some research and see if you can identify some of the things growing in our petri dishes!  
• Start here, and then if you need further information, get a parents' help to find other sources.
